About Me

How I Accidentally Became a Product Designer

I am a product designer with 2 years experience in building seamless interfaces to drive growth and solve user problems, I discovered my passion in design while I was in the final year of the University, but I was more fascinated about photo manipulation. I never really had the time to chase it then because I was more focused on getting a first class degree in Physics, which I ended up losing in my first semester of final year because I felt too confident and got straight B’s which threw me off the first class stand I was (I almost died lol, but I moved on anyways).

I went ahead to get my hands dirty in visual design after uni but never drove it as a career, it was basically just for fun and exploration.

I found Product design when I lost my job in a top oil and gas firm because I refused to sell out my boss to top management (A story we can discuss about one-on-one) but I learned something from that experience, that was; even though I will get another job and went ahead to get another job in another oil and gas firm, I wanted something I could hold to myself, something that wouldn’t disappear depending on where I worked. That’s when I found Product Design. I saw that design wasn’t only about aesthetics; it was a way to solve real problems and improve how people interact with technology every day.

Now moving from the story of how I found design, upon exploring the career more indebt I realized I loved solving user problems, I loved making things easy for people and I took this passion into the new company I was working in when they were trying to integrate the Microsoft Dynamics 360 in our work flow and I was more concerned about the ease of usability for employees but they just wanted something to work. That further boosted my interest in being a designer such that I can design systems and software easy for everyone.

Asides the above I love involving in lots of personal activities such as: Music, I think music is my greatest escape route from reality, can’t think of anything else.

Here is a personal playlist of mine, I update it regularly, you can save it too, it's a mix of Afro, Hip-Hop, R&B. I can also plug you up to more interesting genre's if you want.

I would love to share images but I barely have pictures of myself or experiences, but trust me, I have promised to take more images of myself and experiences this year (2026).
